Meeting the Fam :)

Finally arrived in Bilbao at 5, caught  a bus to the bus station, bought a ticket at ALSA and waited for the bus to come at 745p.m. ran into another girl from my program, Erika. That was so nice to see a familiar face. It was weird because I heard my name being called and was wondering if people in Spain had my name? jaja Got to Santander at 10 o'clock, hailed a taxi and he drove me to my building. Took the very sketchy elevator to the 5th floor and knocked on 'C'. Alicia answered the door, followed by 2 kisses on the cheek, then her husband Carlos with the same greeting. Alicia sure talks fast and lots! I can understand most of what she is saying, but i haven't had much sleep in the past 38 hours so I sometimes just nod and smile. She  made me dinner, TWO plates. spaghetti and a hunk of bread and then "la tortilla española" this tortilla is THICK!!! she's going to teach me how to make it. She showed me around the house, i'll take pictures and post them so you can see, the shower was weird haha
i have internet in my room! PTL. that means i don't always have to find an internet cafe to get internet :)
it's midnight now and i should be getting some sleep.
Random things about Spain I've noticed:
1) everyone loves shoes. Everyone wears boots/heels. I'm the only one wearing tennis shoes.
2) the police look like luke skywalker with their pants tucked in to their boots and the cool red jacket.
3) bus drivers are crazy
4) everyone smokes
5) more guys wear pink here than the U.S.

i'll add more later and pictures!
Buenas Noches :)
