Alicia makes this many mussels at least every other day. I'm not a huge fan cuz I have to rip them out of the shell, but they're not bad. Sea food is the main course most meals here.
Let's see. Saturday went to the beach, swam in the ocean. Saturday night we went out and went dancing, I got to talk to my parents on skype before that and they met Alicia (my host mom) and I translated for them so they could talk to her and her to them :) very awesome. Went out dancing and learned how to say "high five" which is chocala :) we met some girls outside a discoteca and one spoke english because her mom is from canada. we hung out with them and met their friends. That was awesome to hang out with people who live here and make more new friends :) walked around to different places and then went home around 4 a.m.
Sunday 5 of us went to go see a movie, we saw "come, reza, ama." "eat pray love" with julia roberts. It was dubbed in spanish and most of it I understood. Some of the time I was tired of trying to understadn so I would just watch and see what was happening instead of listening!
Hmm... Monday class and then walked around town to the Plaza de Torros. SOmething that I thought was hilarious was the workout equipment they have int he parks : look:
Today I woke up at 830 and had to leave at 850, so I hurried up and eat breakfast (by pouring my cereal into my hot chocolate) and then heading off to school! After class I came home to eat and then headed out to la playa de sardineros. Jesika, Erika, y yo went swimming in the ocean. There were huge waves and I wanted to take a picture with the waves behind us. We turned our back to the ocean (which I was told never to do when I was little!!!) and lo' and behold my parents had reasons why they told me that. haha we turned around just in time to see a HUGE MASSIVE wave smash down on us. I got a quite nice face full of sand HAHA it was a ton of fun. We studied on the beach afterwards andt hen walked home to where I am now writing this blog. Hope you have enjoyed!! ¡Dios te Bendiga! |
I am enjoying your blog sooooo much!
